Kathrin Kopielski will present "Energy crop production at former sewage sludge deposit site contaminated with heavy metals - Phyto2Energy Project"

The presentation will start with a short report of the project partner Vita 34 and will give an overview of proceedings and results from the Phyto2Energy-project. The results for soil analysis and heavy metal uptake by plants after second vegetation season on German test site will be used for special regard on engineered questions for biological remediation. The focus is set on best suitable plant species, concerning relation of biomass production and heavy metal uptake. In final methods for mass plant cultivation will be introduced.
